Lucca city tour<\/strong><\/h1>\n

This place is a hidden gem. It\u2019s among the few cities that preserve its renaissance walls completely intact (now a beautiful path of almost 4 km to walk).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ll have a walk through the old town, with its medieval towers and nearly 100 churches (don\u2019t worry, we\u2019re not going to see all of them!).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/header>\n

The Duomo, Lucca\u2019s romanesque cathedral, dates from the 12th century and features a fa\u00e7ade with elaborate reliefs and columns. The Gothic interior includes an image of Christ on the cross, supposedly carved by Nicodemus, a witness of the crucifixion. <\/span>In 2020 it was discovered that it is the oldest wooden sculpture in the West<\/b>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
